Coach Jamil brings over two decades of elite-level competition and coaching experience to APEX. As an IBJJF World Champion and ADCC competitor, he has tested his skills against the best grapplers on the planet. His teaching philosophy emphasizes technical precision, strategic thinking, and personal growth — making world-class Jiu-Jitsu accessible to students of every level.

Coach John is one of the most decorated No-Gi competitors in the sport's history. Ranked #1 globally in IBJJF No-Gi and a 2015 World Champion, he combines over 25 years of boxing experience with elite grappling expertise. His classes are known for their technical depth, live drilling intensity, and emphasis on competition-ready skills.

Coach Dalash has over 20 years experience in combat sambo, wrestling and MMA. He is a professional MMA fighter and Coach. Coach Dalash is a native from Tajikstan-Pamir/Russia and recently moved to America to pursue his dream of creating world champions.

Coach Ray is a former Army Special Forces Green Beret and three-time Bronze Star recipient. He is a NASM certified personal trainer with specializations in performance enhancement and MMA/combat sports conditioning.

As a certified wrestling coach, he’s been selected as a Virginia National Team Coach three years in a row. He’s currently an Assistant Coach at St. Paul VI Catholic High School, 3x WCAC Champions, VISAA States Runner-up in 2025, and 3rd Place finish in 2026. He’s coached a Beast of the East Champion and the winningest wrestler in Virginia history, as well as a Fargo champion, and dozens of VHSL state champions and placers.
